Tru Richmond is a woman of many jobs and brief romantic encounters with other women. But her life begins to change when she meets Alice, the recently widowed mother of her lawyer friend Suzanne.
Tru Love directed by Kate Johnston and Shauna MacDonald (Canada) 2013 is set in snowy Toronto but there are plenty of references to Paris.
The film received numerous awards and was a hit during its screening at the Castro Theatre during Frameline 38. It will be released this winter on DVD by Wolfe Video.
